Single Equality Strategy

This is Lincolnshire Community Health Foundation Trust’s Single Equality Strategy. It sets out the organisation’s approach to equality and diversity; both as an employer and as a healthcare organisation providing secondary care services. It is referred to as the ‘Single’ Equality Strategy since it explains and responds to the Trust’s statutory duties to promote equality amongst groups of people who have specific protected characteristics, as defined by the Equality Act 2010.  The Strategy has been written taking into account the Trust’s strategic objectives and aims for delivering equality and fairness to all patients, carers and staff.

Previous Schemes

The Single Equality Scheme 2009 - 2013 'No Community Left Behind' was approved in October 2009 following consultation with staff, service users and communities.

The scheme identifies our commitment to continue to promote equality and human rights and value the diversity of our staff and service users. Lincolnshire has a fast growing and increasingly diverse community and this will influence how we both commission and provide our services as well as how we treat our workforce, both now and in the future.
