Last chance to nominate your NHS community heroes

Posted on: 5th September 2022

At LCHS we are proud of our staff and volunteers, whose dedication and commitment to delivering outstanding care makes a huge difference to our patients.

We recognise and commend these achievements through our annual Celebrating Success Awards.

LCHS provides community-based health care services across the county to help people live independently at home, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language services, community and district nursing, urgent treatment centres, school-age immunisations and children’s therapy services. The Trust also provides services at four community hospitals in Gainsborough, Louth, Skegness and Spalding.

This year we’re asking for your help in nominating staff and volunteers for awards. Patients and their loved ones often appreciate the care they’ve received from NHS staff and volunteers, so this is an ideal way to say thank you.

The public and carers can now nominate their NHS superstars in two categories: People’s Award and Volunteer of the Year Award. If you have had a good experience at one of LCHS’s community services and want to thank an individual or a team, please nominate them or if you have benefited from support from one of our volunteers you could nominate them too.

The People’s Award is for teams and individuals dedicated to providing outstanding patient care and an exceptional level of service above and beyond the call of duty, doing something innovative or demonstrating compassion and making a difference to someone’s care.

The Volunteer of the Year Award recognises the incredible dedication of those who volunteer to support our services. We are looking for a volunteer who supported LCHS teams and had a positive impact on patients or staff and who helped patients to access particular services or supported the delivery of safe, high-quality services.

The winners will be revealed in November at our staff awards ceremony.

These awards recognise the contribution of frontline health care workers but also celebrate those who work hard behind the scenes in support roles to ensure that we deliver the highest quality of care.

You can nominate through visiting our website, emailing lhnt.lchsecomms@nhs.net, calling 01522 309751, or messaging us on Twitter or Facebook @LincsCommHealth to request a hard copy form. Nominations are open until Thursday, 8 September 2022.

Like many other events, we rely on sponsorship support. If local businesses would like to be a sponsor for the event, please email lhnt.lchsecomms@nhs.net.
