Support our postcard competition to say ‘thank you’ to NHS staff in Lincolnshire

Posted on: 22nd April 2020

Are you looking for a creative way to say thank you to the dedicated NHS staff providing care and support to COVID-19 patients across Lincolnshire?

Today, LCHS is launching a postcard competition to do exactly that – with the chance to win a £25 Amazon gift voucher donated by Lincoln based Selenity, a cloud-based software company.

Four age related categories are available for young people to enter, with four £25 prizes available for the shortlisted winning design in each of the following categories:

  • 4-6 years
  • 7-10 years
  • 11-14 years and
  • 15-18 years.

The final shortlisted designs will be framed and presented to the winners at a special presentation event later this year at Beech House in Lincoln.

Maz Fosh, Chief Executive of LCHS said: “Our staff are working tirelessly supporting patients and their families at this very difficult time.

The postcard competition is a great way to brighten their day and give our teams a reminder that people are thinking of them and really value their work. They are working in difficult and challenging circumstances and deserve recognition for the incredible work they are doing 24/7 across our county.”

The competition is also being supported by Ruddocks, who have pledged to print 5,000 copies of the winning postcards.

The winning designs will be selected by a panel including Maz Fosh, Neil Everatt, Chief Executive Officer of Selenity and LCHS staff.

We would like all designs to include the words ‘thank you’, ‘NHS’ and, to where possible, reflect the hundreds of different types of NHS jobs available including housekeepers, therapists, clerical staff, doctors, nurses, porters and receptionists.

To take part in the postcard competition, please send an A4 sized design, created using colouring pens and pencils in landscape format, by 21 May to:

Thank You postcard competition, Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, Beech House, Witham Park, Waterside South, Lincoln, LN5 7JH.

Please remember to include your personal details on a separate sheet of paper with your picture/competition entry and your full name, age, school, parent/guardian name, contact number and email address.

The competition is open to young people aged between 4-18 years of age, living in Lincolnshire, including the children of NHS employees.
