If you have had an injury in the Gainsborough area and it is not an emergency, then why not use our Minor Injury Unit. You will be seen and treated sooner and it leaves A&E for more serious cases.

The Minor Injury Unit offers fast and modern healthcare to people at a time which suits them. The unit will treat people with minor injuries and illness such as:

  • sprains
  • cuts
  • grazes
  • broken bones
  • bites
  • stings.

The minor injuries unit is a nurse led unit and there is no doctor available on site.

You can self-refer to the minor injuries unit. Referrals are also accepted from the ambulance service and GP Out of Hours Service. No appointment is necessary.

Please note that the minor injuries unit will not treat patients with more serious medical conditions or major injuries. Patients should go to their local Accident & Emergency department or dial 999.
