Johnson Community Hospital Pro Darts Charity Showdown appeal for sponsors

NHS staff organising a charity professional darts event in aid of Spalding’s Johnson Community Hospital are appealing to local businesses to lend their support as table sponsors.
The star-studded Pro Darts Showdown will take place at Springfields Events and Conference Centre on Friday, September 20, and is a brand new venture from the team behind the popular annual Hospital Ball.
Featuring 16 times world champion Phil ‘the Power’ Taylor, Wayne Mardle and current top 16 world players Joe Cullen and Jonny Clayton, the evening promises to be a hugely entertaining night of exhibition matches.
The hospital’s fundraising committee have raised £58,000 over the last 10 years through Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust’s Charitable Funds and the hospital’s League of Friends to fund a range of equipment to improve patient and relative comfort in ways that would not usually be funded by the NHS. This has included drinking fountains, a kitchen area and adapting rooms for day surgery procedures.
Organiser and Johnson Community Hospital Outpatients department sister Sally Brown said: “We are enormously grateful to Bakkavor, Hills Department Store and Moore Thompson, who have generously agreed to be our main sponsors for the evening.
"However, we still have a number of opportunities for local businesses or individuals who wish to support the hospital through table sponsorship.
"Sponsorship support will mean as much money as possible will go directly to the hospital.”
For a £50 donation, table sponsors will receive a branded table display, inclusion in social media and other public communications and big screen promotion on the night.
