LCHS service shortlisted for national award

Posted on: 18th February 2020

The Children’s Rapid Response Respiratory Service has been shortlisted for the Council of Allied Health Professions Research Award for Evaluating Health and Social Care Practice in this year’s Advancing Healthcare awards.

This service has only been operating for a year, but has made a big impact in the assessment, treatment and management of respiratory problems in children with complex physical disabilities at home.

Congratulations to Tina Bramley, Head of Clinical Services for Allied Health Professionals and Katie Clements, Children’s Physiotherapy Professional Advisor and the rest of the team from LCHS.

Last week Tina and Katie travelled to London to give a presentation to the judges and will have to wait until Friday, 20 March at the awards ceremony to find out if they have won.

The Children’s Rapid Response Respiratory Service won two awards last year. At the Lincolnshire Live Healthcare Awards 2019 they received The Clinical Team of the Year accolade for pioneering this new respiratory service to children with complex long term physical conditions to manage their respiratory problems at home. And at Celebrating Success, LCHS’ awards ceremony, they received the Balancing Quality and Finance award.
